It's never too late to learn to play an instrument, and it's one of the best things we can do for ourselves as we age! What else can you do that is challenging, good for your brain, and fun all at the same time?

Hi! My name is Dan Arnold, and teaching people to play a musical instrument is my passion! I am a retired public school band director with over forty years of teaching experience.

Joining band in fifth grade transformed school for me and gave me a reason to get up in the morning. I began teaching trombone in high school and after high school, I spent three years playing bugle with the U.S. Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps, representing the Army in official ceremonies in the Washington, D.C. area and around the country. After getting my degree in music education at Kent State, I taught instrumental music for thirty-two years in public schools in lowa and Ohio. My students consistently earned "Superior" and "Excellent" contest ratings.

I have maintained a private studio for over twenty-three years.

Former students have become music teachers, a regional manager for a retail music store chain, and taken their music into the Armed Forces and around the world!

-Instruments taught include piano, trumpet, clarinet, trombone, and percussion.

-I accept students age 9 to 90!

-I work hard to make each lesson productive, rewarding, and encouraging. Music is performance oriented and fulfilling!

-Lessons are 45 minutes or 60 minutes in length

-I am available in person in Leesburg, Florida or online.

-Lessons are tailored for each student's goals, interests, and aptitude.
